Call Listings
After logging in, click Apply to Calls to view open opportunities. Use the search bar to find a specific opportunity by call name, organization, or city.
Click the ♥️ heart icon to save calls to your favorites and refer back to them.
Sort & Filter Options
Click the arrow next to each definition to learn more about the sort and filter options.
Favorites Only
Click the heart ♥ icon to save your favorite call listings and return to view the favorites later.
Invitational Calls
Some calls are open on an invite-only basis. If you have a passcode to access an invite-only call, check the box next to Invitational Calls, enter the passcode, and click Enter. The call will appear in the search results.
Call Type
Select from various call types, such as exhibitions, grants, awards, public art, etc. More than one call type can be selected at once.
Eligibility
Select international, national, regional, local, or unspecified. If the eligibility is limited to a specific region or area, check its location to determine your eligibility to apply.
Entry Fee
Select one of the provided options or enter a minimum and maximum fee to find calls with an entry fee in a specific range.
Participation Fee
Select an option or enter a minimum and maximum fee to find calls with a participation fee in a specific range. Participation fees are only paid if you are invited to participate in the opportunity.
Project Budget
Select an option or enter a minimum and maximum fee to find calls with a project budget in a specific range. Public art organizations typically use this to indicate the budget awarded to the invited artist to complete the project.
Deadline Month
Select one or more months to find calls with deadlines in that timeframe.
Location
Select one or more regions or states to find calls within that location.
Sort by Deadline
Use this to sort the list of calls by the deadline date. You can sort it by Earliest Deadline or Latest Deadline.
Sort by Entry Fee
Use this to sort the list of calls by the entry fee price. You can sort it by Price: Low to High or Price: High to Low.
Once you’ve located a call for entry, read the short description or click More Info to go to the full details.
Viewing the Call Details
Each call on CaFÉ has a Call Details page with important information for applying and participating in the opportunity.
⚡️TIP: Read the full details thoroughly. Each call for entry is sponsored by a different organization and therefore each call for entry requirement and eligibility is unique.
Overview
The top of the page will show you an overview of the call details, including the application deadline, the entry and/or media fee(s), work sample requirements, call type, eligibility, and location. You'll also find the organization's website and contact information.
Call Prospectus
The call details page mainly contains general information about the opportunity filled out by the sponsoring organization. The page will be divided into sections: General Information, Application Requirements, and Eligibility Criteria.
Rules and Terms to Apply
Click View Rules & Terms to Apply to view the organization's terms. You must agree to these terms before you can access the application. You can also print or save the agreement from this page.
